Pictures taken with the Kodak Z812 set in program mode with vivid color and max sharpness at 3 megs. Pictures reduced to 1 and l/2 megs for posting.

GUESS WHAT- THE Z812 SHOOTS GOOD TOO

I tried the z812 in program mode like the zd710. It too can take great pictures. Here are two samples. This camera also takes 720P high def videos too with the color looking much like these pics.

See part 1 for my comments. I really like the way the pics came out. The ZD710 is a formidable snapshooter with its schneider lens used in this manner.

All I can say about the V803 is that the earth could have exploded by the time the shutter goes off in this camera to take the shot. I was not too impressed using this camera on this field trip. I only took stills because as a video camera it takes rotten videos which is too bad since the color quality of the videos is downright superb but the images are downright awful.

I really enjoyed shooting with the ZD710. I also in general like the pictures that came out as well. I feel a "bigness" in these pictures which can be attributed to the Schneider lens and the pickup used in this camera. I do not feel this sense in my pictures on the other cameras that I own. I might add that the videos I shot that day with this camera came out looking as good as the pictures. The only problem with the videos are transferring them onto a dvd since they use Quicktime. Roxio Media 8 does recognize this codec but gives me some freezes and audio loss.

I had to touch up the Iquana pictures due to exposure problems from zooming. I did have to crop on some others but did not have to sharpen or do any other adjustments in adobe photo other than size down to get them uploaded onto the blog. Just CLICK over the picture to see the enlargement.
